Pan-European Seal Programme

Nova School of Law has become a member of the Pan-European Seal Traineeship Programme. The Pan-European Seal Professional Traineeship Programme is a comprehensive IP programme, which bridges academia and the IP labour market.

It is promoted in partnership by two of the world’s most important IP offices, the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) in Alicante (Spain) and the European Patent Office (EPO) in Munich (Germany) together with their strategic University partners.

The Pan-European Seal is an IP Programme that covers many academic areas. Through it, high-achieving young university graduates or students in the last year of their studies can access one-year paid traineeships in EUIPO and the EPO, helping them to get a foot in the door of the competitive world of IP through valuable on-the-job multicultural professional work experience.

Those interested in participating in traineeships under this programme should submit a written application by end of May 2017. The applications should include a CV, proof of proficiency in the EUIPOs or EPOs respective working languages, letter of motivation marking the preferred institution (at least 4000 characters), copy of a diploma or a list of passed exams (for students in their last year of studies) and certificate proving that the applicant has successfully passed at least one selected EUIPO/EPO online courses.

The applications will be evaluated upon following conditions: proven interest in IP law, certificate on selected EPO/EUIPO online courses, language skills (English, German, French, Italian or Spanish on at least B1 level for EUIPO; English, German or French on at least B1 level for EPO). Participation in Erasmus or other similar exchange programmes and further language skills will be considered as an advantage. EPO and EUIPO have reserved the right to revise the results of the selection process.

Nova Law School will provide to the EUIPO and the EPO shortlists of candidates and these institutions will select candidates on the basis of these shortlists.

Registration to the online training courses: register by clicking to the upper right corner on the Pan-European Seal Programme websites and select to register as “Members of the Pan-European Seal Programme”.

Successful applicants will be offered a traineeship agreement with EUIPO/EPO for the duration of 12 months starting on September/October 2017. and be provided with a grant of 1000 EUR/month.
